Our Therapy Dogs
Along with providing therapy and service dogs, we are deeply committed to donating our time to those in need. Your support not only strengthens our breeding program but also helps us touch the lives of children in our schools and hospitals. In early January of 2025, Rebecca and her family experienced firsthand the uplifting power of a therapy dog during a challenging time at a children's hospital when their son, Henry underwent open heart surgery. This experience solidified our belief that Ivy, already a promising candidate, would be a perfect therapy dog. Ivy has since received her Canine Good Citizen CGC and Therapy Certification and now retired from the breeding program, Ivy and Rebecca plan to begin visiting schools and hospitals in January 2026. We aspire to expand this therapy dog program with more dedicated dogs, and with your help and support, this dream can become a reality, allowing us to make a profound difference in countless lives.

๐พ๐ Big day for out special girl Ivy! ๐๐พ
Today marks Ivy's FIRST day at school โ not as a student, but as a therapy dog spreading love, comfort, and smiles at Iola-Scandinavia middle / high-school! ๐
We are beyond proud to see her begin this journey through Personal Touch Standard Poodles, Inc., a nonprofit founded with one simple but powerful mission:
โจ Touching the lives of families in need of service and therapy dogs. โจ
Every wag, every cuddle, every calm moment Ivy brings to these kids is a reminder of why this mission matters so much to us.
This work is made possible through The Ella Fund, created in loving memory of sweet Ella โ whose short life sparked a lifelong commitment to making sure service and therapy dogs are always available to those who need them most.
If youโd like to support Ivy's journey and help us continue placing incredible dogs where theyโre needed most, consider donating to The Ella Fund ๐

๐พ Meet Our New Therapy Team Members: Ellie & Kida! ๐พ
We are so excited to officially introduce two incredible therapy dogs being added to our program โ Ellie and Kida! ๐
Both girls are from our previous litters, and weโre so proud to see them growing into dogs with such a meaningful purpose.
โจ Ellie is currently working as a therapy dog in Waupaca and visits a womenโs shelter weekly, bringing comfort, calm, and a whole lot of love to those who need it most.
โจ๏ธKida is also in Waupaca, and she is currently in training, working hard to follow in Ellieโs pawprints and become a therapy dog as well!
A very special part of this journey is their owner and handler, Kasandra Peterson , who has been dedicating her time to training and working with these girls, and bringing them out into the community to volunteer. Her love, commitment, and hard work are truly what makes this mission possible. ๐
These therapy dogs are proudly sponsored by Rebaโs with A Personal Touch Pet Salon. Owners and groomer Rebecca Newby is honored to support them through:
โ
Grooming services
โ
Dog food
โ
Treats & enrichment goodies
We would also like to send a huge THANK YOU to a dear friend of ours, who helped us receive funding through Thrivent Action Teams to assist in purchasing the therapy dog vests. This support means the world to us and helps make this mission possible. ๐พ๐
Also want to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to Renea Dahms at Pawsitively Unleashed! for her training, guidance, and continued support as we grow our therapy dog program. Her knowledge and support has helped set Ellie and Kida up for success! โจ
๐ Want to help our cause by donating to the Ella Fund. Every donation helps us continue to provide love, comfort, and community support through our therapy dogs. ๐
๐พ We are so excited for what the future holds for Ellie & Kida โ and we canโt wait to share their therapy journey with all of you!
