"The Healing Power of a Four-Legged Friend: Anna's Story

As an educator with over two decades of experience, I've discovered that one of my most powerful teaching tools doesn't write on a whiteboard or grade papers - she walks on four legs and wags her tail. Anna, my certified therapy poodle, has transformed our school community in remarkable ways.

Impact on Students

* Morning Greetings: Every day begins with Anna welcoming students at the door, turning anxiety into smiles and helping students start their day positively

* Emotional Support: In times of crisis, Anna provides crucial comfort - as demonstrated when she helped students process their grief after losing a classmate

* Safe Space Creator: Students feel comfortable opening up about their struggles when sitting with Anna, making her an invaluable tool for emotional expression

* Stress Reducer: During challenging times like exams or difficult days, Anna's presence helps lower stress levels among students

Impact on School Climate

* Builds Community: Anna's presence in hallways and classrooms creates a warmer, more welcoming environment

* Improves Attendance: Students look forward to seeing Anna, providing extra motivation to come to school

* Creates Positive Interactions: Staff and students bond over their shared affection for Anna

* Promotes Emotional Well-being: Regular interactions with Anna help support mental health and emotional regulation

Anna has proven to be more than just a therapy dog - she's become an essential member of our educational team. Her ability to connect with students on an emotional level, provide comfort during difficult times, and create a more positive school environment has made her an invaluable asset to our school community of 700 students."

Kirs and her family have recently finished Nala's (from our first letter) therapy certification and she is also working in the school as well. We are so excited that they adding one more from our last litter Chloe (Casey)for therapy work.
